Monetary Donations

2 Out of Every 3 Eligible Applicants Are Turned Away.

While the need for our services has increased over the last several years, our funding has not kept up with the demand. That means 2 out of every 3 eligible applicants are turned away because we do not have the necessary resources. We need your help!

When the community invests in Legal Aid Works®, the money is used to give our clients equal access to justice. Each year, for example, we help our clients receive court-ordered awards of wrongfully denied benefits totaling over a million dollars. That is more than what is spent to run the entire operation for our three offices. Without our intervention, clients would not have received the unemployment payments, spousal/child support, SSI benefits or other benefits to which they were entitled.
